Does your phone have a data plan? The SmartThings mobile presence feature requires data as well as location services. It won’t work on a phone that doesn’t have a data plan.

Presence is not detected for ios and Android without 3G/4G package

Hi, I want to share my experience with presence via smartphone and check if anyone else has the same problem. This is happening in both ios and android. When the phone gets into the geo-fence zone and has no data package (3G/4G data is expired, being on a call that drops the data connectivity), the presence is not getting detected when the phone is connected back to the WiFi once I reach home. Last record in the “Recently” of the phone is last time I reached the area with phone connected to 3G/LTE. Not sure what is happening but appreciate if someone is able to explain the logic for me.
