I’ve had my system for a while and have seen multiple iterations of how SmartApps get added. I have existing motion detectors that have a configuration field available to restrict the time between notifications. This is great because it lets me avoid being flooded my notifications when they are spurious.
I recently bought additional motion detectors and I wanted to add them to a different SmartApp instead of the motion app I already have set up. It looks like now the way to do this is thru SmartSetup, but when I choose “more options” in the setup there is no setting available to specify how long between notifications.
So 2 questions. 1) is there a way to configure a delay between notifications? 2) If not, is there a way to clone my old app so that I can install another instance of it and have it monitor the new devices?
