Minoston Wi-Fi Smart Plug with Power Monitor for Outdoor and Indoor (MP22WP)

I’ve searched this forum and googled the internet in general, but have not learned whether I can use a Minoston Wi-Fi Smart Plug with Power Monitor for Outdoor and Indoor (MP22WP) with SmartThings. I started by adding the device to the Minoston app, and it works fine through that app. I then tried to use SmartThings add device Tuya Smart, created an account there (the same credentials for Minoston app did not work), but not a surprise to me, the device was not visible in any way in Tuya. This is my first time using Minoston and Tuya.

Any advice?

Can I not use this WiFi device with SmartThings? I would like to turn it on and off and is possible see the power monitoring values, but that’s the frosting on the cake.

Thanks

Return it and get the Matter version instead:

So is there no way to get this one working?
Will the Matter version work with my V2 SmartThings Hub?
I would like to avoid swapping it.
Thanks.

If this device doesn’t show up in SmartThings via the Tuya/SmartLife cloud integration, you are out of luck. In the Home Assistant forum, they recommend to flash the firmware.

I ended up replacing it with a Kasa 401, worked and integrated flawlessly…

FWIW, I’ve got a Kasa EP40M model which is Matter-over-Wi-Fi. Works flawlessly with my SmartThings V2 hub.
