Where did you end up ordering from? Places like AliExpress have always scared me off. . .mostly because I’ve never really looked into how to figure out what’s legit. . . but the prices are so appealing. Also, did you need a custom driver?

2 years later and hoping you’re still active here and still using your Aqara T1 illuminance sensor.
Just received one of these (purchased from AliExpress: order to delivery 4 days!!) after having had no luck in sourcing a Zigbee light level sensor locally to trigger my lighting automations
It paired immediately with SmartThings without issue.
I’ve set reporting frequency to 30secs and noticed it reports less frequently than that. Wondering if it waits for a certain change in lux before it reports to save battery. Is this added delay your experience also?
Also how’s battery life? Have you changed it yet?

Hi, I still have it, but moved over to Home Assistant and couldn’t be happier.. The battery life has been great!

I haven’t really watched it - I just know it is working 
IKEA’s new Matter/Thread motion sensor MYGGSPRAY also has Lux, works out of the box with the generic “Matter Sensor” driver. 7,99€ in Germany.
Update frequency is not constant, it remains silent for long periods of time when the reading doesn’t change. One of mine is exposed to outside light. It does update adequately quick when you turn a light on, there is a steady stream of reports at sunrise, and now during this partly cloudy day it sends an update every five minutes.
