Looking for budget-friendly Matter light switches compatible with Samsung SmartThings Station

Hi everyone,

I’m looking for advice from users who already have experience with Matter switches on SmartThings.

My setup uses Samsung SmartThings Station as the main hub.

I want to buy / install a budget-friendly Matter light switch (no neutral preferred, but both neutral / no-neutral suggestions are welcome), and I would like to know which brands or exact models work well and pair smoothly with SmartThings — without strange issues or unstable connection — while also being reasonably priced.

Questions:

1. Which budget-friendly Matter switch brand/model have you successfully paired with SmartThings Station?

2. Any pairing issues or special steps required?

3. After pairing — is response time / reliability good?

4. Does the switch support multi-tap / double-tap actions through SmartThings automation?

5. Any models to avoid?

If possible, please include:

Brand

Model

Region (US / EU / Asia etc.)

Notes about neutral wire requirement

Approximate price or price range (or where you bought it)

I want to get real-world feedback before buying — because some brands say “Matter” but the actual SmartThings integration is not perfect in reality.

Thank you in advance!

if you’re in North America, I think Aqara T2 wall switches fit the requirements. not sure about their EU equivalent though…

I’m staying in Thailand.

Thanks.

Budget-friendly and Matter switches/dimmers don’t go together. Most of the models I’ve seen are between $35-55USD. I’ve used both Leviton and Eve Energy switches/dimmers and both are well-built and pair easier with ST. I also understand Inovelli White series switches/dimmers work well with ST but are definitely among the most expensive I’ve seen.
