I consider it low risk. At my house someone is more likely to 1) smash the glass on the outside laundry door and open it manually and then smash the glass on the inner door (and that’s the lock that’s S2); or 2) smash any one of the 4 windows on the front of the house reachable from the front porch.
IMO, save your money and buy something in the future.
I figured, thanks. They have that Kwikset for $144 that’s S2 and that’s pretty cheap for now.
It’s a mess still. $300 roughly for modern-esque wifi/thread ones. Schlages now are $250 or so for non-latest z-wave plus.
And when it comes down to it, I don’t think it’s kicking the door in, it’s the backup key hole that the locksmiths (lock picking lawyer types) that can open them in under a minute anyway. Thanks again.
I just saw the Schlage Sense Pro announcement with Matter and Thread, so I’ll hold off and wait for that.
