Load arduino code on the fly from SmartApp

These seems like a simple question with a huge complicated answer, but I figured I’d ask before jumping.

Has anyone made a SmartApp that feeds raw arduino code through a SmartThings Shield? Treating the arduino more as a dumb device and letting the cloud take care of the code.

Might not be possible, just curious, would be nice to treat the arduino as an extension of my hub, like a bridge.

It does not work like that. The shield basically works as a messenger between your arduino and a smart app. The zigbee protocol is not really robust enough to allow the sort of communication you are describing, if I understood your question properly.
