My IKEA’s blind was working fine with the IKEA remote and Apple HomeKit, but I decided to add the blind to SmartThings too, which was fine but since I lost connection with the physical remote and HomeKit.
Can I not have them working all together ?

Unfortunately no, you have to choose one or the other.
IKEA Tradfri devices do not individually connect to HomeKit. Instead, they rely on the IKEA tradfri gateway.
But since the device cannot belong to both the IKEA Tradfri gateway and the smartthings hub at the same time (you have to choose one or the other), when you join it to smartthings you lose HomeKit.
If you have fairly strong technical skills you might be able to use a system called “HomEBridge“ and an additional server device to join it to smartthings and then bring it back into HomeKit again, but that gets pretty complicated. You can talk to people in the following thread if you want to find out more about that method:
[RELEASE] Homebridge SmartThings v2.0
At the present time, smartthings does not offer official HomeKit support and it doesn’t look likely that it will anytime soon.
Thank you, I do have Homebridge running I suppose it’s a good work around.
Can I repair the IKEA remote though ? Or even connect the remote to SmartThings and then control the blind (I guest this would add a slide delay but probably fine)
I believe so, but I’m not sure of the details. Check the forum for other threads on the blinds to find people who are using it.
BTW, there is an article in the community – created wiki on devices that can work with both smartthings and HomeKit at the same time. There aren’t many, but there are some:
