Ikea starkvind

Model is correct. I should have been more specific and said “Mfg. Code”

The model and Mfg. code make up the fingerprint

The mfg code is IKEA of Sweden

Ok, so what driver are you trying to use?

I want my “ZigBee Thing” that is fact the IKEA Strarkvind air filter to use the Mark’s_Edge_Drivers (https://callaway.smartthings.com/channels/4e37aa1b-9526-4f79-a2e1-2927473603fe).

And when you go to the Drivers dropdown for your device, is that driver listed? If not, then your device isn’t included in the fingerprints for that driver. You’ll need to contact the author of that driver and have them add your device fingerprints.

Hi, no the custom driver is not listed. Not sure what is the evice fingerprint and how to retreive it.

I kinda find a way to have more info :

@Mark_in_the_house can you had this fingerprint to the driver please ?

Please follow the directions Mark provided in his previous post. Your device is currently paired with Zigbee Thing, and it needs to be paired with Zigbee Thing MC. Once done, you’ll be able to take a screenshot and share it with Mark.

Oh thanks I missed that important part. Here’s my device screenshot. @Mark_in_the_house can you do something with it ?

I added fingerprint. Try it now and let me know if it works.

@Mark_in_the_house Thanks for updating.
I finally could choose your driver. Thx.
I still got a connection Problem and cant turn on/off or choose Fanspeed.
Already added again. Maybe it takes a while…

It doesn’t seem to work. I removed the “ZigBee Thing” that uses the ZigBee Thing Mc driver. I added it again in SmartThings using the search by proxymity. Automatically it finds it by still a ZigBee Thing (with ZigBee thing Mc driver). If I try to switch the drive the only other choice I have is the default ZigBee Thing driver.

It finally appeared in my driver choices, Yeah !

But I can’t controle my air filter because I have this message “this devide hasn’t updated all of its status” see image. This message also happened to me with a very old (2014) Aeotec z-wave door sensor that i managed to solve by finding custom driver in the Aeotec channel.

  • Try manualy turning starkvind on/off, so it sends new data to hub
  • Try turning it On through website by command (setFanSpeed) 5 (try different numbers - 0 is for off) and see if Starkvind responds.

UPDATE:
Oh, sorry. I just looked at code and I forget to add fingerprint in another file. I now added it and reupload driver. It should install automatically to your hub in cca 24h.

Oh thanks, I’ll wait then. I checked and your Starkvind driver version is 2024-01-17T16:11…

@Mark_in_the_house thanks it’s now working.

Now the tricky question. Are you planning to had the air quality indicator. Is it possible? With the IKEA hub we can have this info. It would be nice to have also.

It is possible, I just have no idea how to do it. I tried but with no good results, so I gave up.

@Mark_in_the_house thank you! for me it is also working now.
Thank you for Support.
