Hydrific Droplet — unofficial local Edge driver (experimental, as-is)

I built a SmartThings Edge driver for Hydrific Droplet and am sharing it for other owners to try. It runs locally on a compatible SmartThings hub using Droplet’s local API. No MQTT broker, Home Assistant installation, or always-on computer is required.

It provides flow in liters or US gallons per minute, per-report volume change, and connection/signal status. Numeric flow can be used in your own SmartThings routines.

Install: SmartThings. Add a little smartness to your things.

The project is MIT licensed: forks, modifications, redistribution, and commercial use are welcome under the license terms.

Enable the local integration in the Droplet app under Smart Home Integrations → Home Assistant, install the driver through the invitation, scan nearby in SmartThings, and enter your own Droplet pairing code in the discovered device’s settings.

Known limitation: On the Droplet firmware v1.4.1 tested here (and others have reported this), high-flow and unusual-flow alert statuses are not arriving through the local API. They display as unavailable. Flow measurements work independently. Testing so far is on one SmartThings V3 hub; other configurations are unverified.

Caveats/legalese: This is an unofficial, experimental, as-is release. I really did this for myself - I do not plan on providing technical support or promise maintenance, updates, etc., but I will fix major bugs within my span of control as I encounter them. However, there’s only so much one can do if the vendor has an issue with their API. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by Samsung or Hydrific. Do not use it as your sole means of detecting leaks or preventing water damage. Feel free to fork the code and improve upon it!

Thanks @Guidry , this looks interesting and I plan on looking onto this. I currently have a very old Fortrezz Flow Meter that’s zwave, and I’m looking for a replacement since Fortrezz is no longer around, and it’s my only zwave device in my environment. The device works great and has been bullet proof for years. I wrote the driver with the help from another developer in the community, but support for that is also pretty much gone since I don’t have time anymore to maintain it if any change is needed.
