Hub Firmware Release Notes - 27.6

9/17 UPDATE

A firmware update for Samsung SmartThings Hub 2018 and 2015 models will release to customers starting Wednesday, September 18th. This release version (27.9) is a hotfix for version 27.8 and includes additional improvements for LAN and Z-Wave device communication issues.

Your Hub will briefly go offline as it reboots and applies the update; most users will experience less than one minute of downtime.

Does this include a fix for the issue pairing Aeotec Range Extenders discussed in this thread (towards the bottom)?

Once again…how about we follow the standard for the last 4 years or more of a new thread for every release? Even if it is a small hot fix point release. How can this not be standard at this point? Are you trying to hide these releases or what?

Yes, it does.

Any details? Would like to test devices relevant to the changes.

Please, please, please start a new thread for each new release. It is impossible for community members to keep up if you keep adding new releases to an existing thread. Just start a new thread for each new release.

Any chance that it would fix my issue too?

Excellent thanks!

I know web core is not officially supported but a lot of people over on that forum have been experiencing sluggishness within the last 4 to 5 days. Is the hot fix going to help that?

Yup. Sluggish to the point of pistons running but failing or even not running at all by timing out before they get started. Pistons that have been running for months and months without issue.

Will the hotfix resolve problems I had with DSC alarm system integration (script running on a Pi) I had in the past days where it randomly failed to interact with HUB? It sure uses lan…

Can you point me to the webcore thread please? I use webcore heavily and have also been experiencing lots of sluggishness with pistons over the last week or so.

And

Thank you.

Xiaomi devices not working anymore. For example motion sensors do not report movement anymore. Started at 1h ago. Something to do with this?

Ok, I have the answer. No, it doesn’t fix it.

Since this update, something on the ST side is making automations - NOT just WebCoRE, fail…

Since this thread is for discussion of an older release, 27.6, I have added a new thread for discussion of 27.9:
