How to remove Device that was used by IFTTT?

I have a virtual switch that I’m trying to remove. It says its in use by IFTTT but I have unchecked it from within the smartapp. It says its still has an event subscription by IFTTT…

how can I delete this thing?

Known issue. Support has to remove it for you.

Good to know that at least they can remove the device now. When I first ran into this, the support offered to remove the connect app altogether. Since then, that’s what I do. Whenever I want to deathorize a device, I remove the connect and add back the devices I want to use with IFTTT.

I don’t know the exact details of the process. Just that support has to be involved.
