I figured out how to make an automation and an ifttt to turn on lights when motion is detected by my ring. but, I have the motion detector on a schedule to only become active between 11pm & 6am. figured if it detected someone at the door, it would turn lights on to scare away intruders. unfortunately, it locks up the motion all the time during the day and triggers the automation even tho it says it’s off on the ring app. anyone have a work around?
Make the automation in SmartThings with Smart Lights and apply the time restriction to the rule.
