There is a setup option on whether you want to enable or disable programming - this is the one I disabled. There is a separate option on whether you want 2 period daily schedules (eg day and night) or 4. That will be NA once you disable programming to start with. Mine appeared to be set by default, and then ST would be a temporary hold on that schedule. So in order to stop the default schedule and odd treatment, I disabled the programming altogether and can use ST as well as the tstat itself to easily change temp settings.
Jeff - where is this setting to completely disable scheduling? I have searched high and wide on the thermostat and on the website/app settings. Every time I have Keep Me Cozy run it sets a temp hold and if that time of the temp hold is before my next ST trigger it will default back to 70 degrees. I have to keep going into the Honeywell App and change it to a permanent hold or adjust the time of the temp hold until after the anticipated next Keep Me Cozy. Any help would be appreciated!
Never mind! I finally found it. The UI on this thing is not very intuitive.
OK great, I just got your email. Yes, the doc is bad and support is worse. You also need to check your āmasterā high and low settings, or at least low if you donāt have A/C. I had to change that in order to give the furnace a break when Iām not there. Overall Iāve been very happy with its performance and ST control.
I too have the wifi version and am running the @jody.albritton application. Works great but I also wanted an action to revert to schedule or ācancel holdā after I returned home. From the thread above it seems that this is not trivial. I am hesitant to give ST full control of our tstat and was wondering if @jody.albritton or anyone else was still tinkering with this at all?
I have the RTH8580WF wifi model. @jody.albritton , are you looking into a āreturn to programā or ācancel holdā feature with the new model? Will any of the code be backwards compatible with the 8580 model?
Thanks for the great contributions!
I was never able to get return to program working. I donāt think there is a cancel hold function in the available api. I moved over to Ecobee, the link I provided is the only active honeywell work going that I know of. It uses the same api so it should be compatible. I cannot test it as I donāt have my honeywell stat hooked up anymore.
I have access to a 9580 that I continue to work with as a āprojectā.
I have added some items to the screen successfully that I was interested in prior to getting an Ecobee3.
That functionality includes Outside humidity and Outside Temp as well as adding some API functionality for Fan mode & system status that were discovered by Gump.
I have found not way to cancel a Temp hold or prime ant hold. Temp hold will automatically end at the next scheduled time set in the āSchedulingā on the thermostat or the honeywell web app.
It also includes custom icons that I like. Shared the code with some people as a test and low and behold the Android app will not handle the custom icons.
If you have an IOS device this is what it currently looks like. I have no idea whether it works with anything but a 9580. I know it breaks on any version of SmarThings Android app.
For those who have an Android phone and have been trying to use the 9580 device type I provided with my customizations a bug has been discovered in the Android version of SmartThings that breaks the custom icon on tiles.
I received this message from Support this morning after a ticket was created by an Android user. I provided my code to them and they have confirmed the bug.
Help is on the way !

Hello,
I am creating a ticket for QA for this matter. This bug is being worked on already, with expected relief in next version but creating the ticket just to make sure it is not overlooked.
Thanks you both for your contributions to IDing and getting this ticket created with QA. We expect next version of the app to be released in the coming weeks.
Best,
Jeanette

Reopening an old threadā¦
I recently bought the Honeywell wifi focus pro 9000 model, and wanted to cancel the thermostat āHoldā, on āI am backā routine from smartthings.
Is this possible to do?
It is, I use CORE and utilize the resumeProgram option that is exposed as a capability on the Honeywell device.
I know this is an old threadā¦ I ended up using IFTTT for this functionality. If presence detected (unfortunately no mode triggers for ST at this time) resume programmed schedule on Honeywell.
Thanks. This is part of a project that I am working on. Is there a way to embed this capability in a switch in smartthings?
Yes, I use webCore as well and create a virtual switch or use a routine in SmartThings
