They only had the new style box with the full price listed. (the right photo in @LordGrass post. I’m assuming this clearance was to clear out the old box art (potentially 1st gen?) and make way for the new. However, I did get myself one of the newer ones at a different store and I notice no obvious differences between them. I also noticed when opening all these boxes that they were all packaged differently, so its possible some of mine were returns from customers that didn’t realize you need a bridge to use these…
I agree @ncatoffice, I’ve optimistically tried many stores around the NoVA area and there is barely anything junked in the clearance areas.
Has anyone cleaned out the Richmond Va stores? I may head there today to see. Don’t really need one but I’b be happy to grab a cpl for anyone that wants one.
If your headed there I’ll save the the from Cville for another day. I am trying to get 2 for my Bro-in-law if you come up with a cpl extra. I’ll hit the Waynesboro, and Harrisonburg store instead.
I went by the Parsippany NJ store yesterday, and sure enough, there were 3 on clearance there. I didn’t buy them though since with all HA purchases I try to answer my wife’s inevitable question: Why do we need this? And since I couldn’t come up with a good enough reason, I had to pass.
Does this scraper work for the Go Control kits or the GE Link Floods?
Whelp, either they moved the Hues out of the bulb section in the Worcester MA HD, they actually did clearance them and somebody beat me to it, somebody threw them away. I was in there last night and they entire Hues section was empty with the exception of the new light strips that we all stole for $11.97 pricematch marked the $89 proper price.
Both the endcap where GoControl used to be and the spot in the isle had been restocked with other products.
The only official way to use Hue with ST is through a Hue Bridge. They might pair directly as some hue bulbs will, but you would need to find a DTH to run them.
Not at all. As @schapper05 mentions that isn’t the “official” way but Hue bulbs have been connecting directly to SmartThings since mid-2014 and that is the same line ST said back then. Check out @JDRoberts excellent post here.
Thanks! Appreciate the info guys. Interested in getting a couple of these since my local HD got them in stock (only problem is they are not in clearance yet )
