Been getting this error on and off since setting up my hub but the last 24 hours I’ve not been able to create or edit scenes or automations. Any ideas?
Where are you getting the error? Screen shot?
The error i receive is “A network or server error occurred. Try again later.”

It happens when using the SmartThings app (Classic works fine) I hit save after either trying to create a scene or automation or editing an existing automation.
US Support bumped me to Aus support and I don’t think there support have been trained at all on these products yet…!
So Australian support have no idea how to support this product… Sounds like I’m the first person to ever call them regarding the product.
Any other Australians on here?
Has anyone found a fix for this? I’ve been having the exact same problem for the last couple of weeks and I’m out of ideas.
This was back in August… and I guess it is still happening. I thought I was the only one.
I’m going back to Classic.
I have the same problem. I hope a update come.
Hopefully this helps, after doing a bunch of testing I was able to resolve my issue.
The service is designed in such a way that you use an Automation to trigger scenes, and scenes to control devices. Trying to control devices directly in Automations is what caused my account to hit some kind of limit.
If you have the same issue try deleting the automations that contain lots of devices and recreate this using a scene and then trigger the scene. It SHOULD fix your issue.
ah man I wish this post was around when I had my issues!
Hey Guys,
I am also having same issue. What was the soluton?
Did anyone solve it?
My issue was hard system limits which has been explored in the link below.
I changed my setup so that automatons were simply activating scenes and that fixed the issue for me. This did create some new limitations which is why I’m currently moving away from Smartthings.
I couldn’t modify an existing automation (I’m well below the actions limit of 250) - kept hitting “Network Error. Please retry”.
I deleted the automation and recreated it - that fixed the issue.
