Hi, I’m hoping someone can point me in the right direction, please.
My garage door switch was being triggered when I arrive home, which is what I wanted it to do, but I can’t find out where this is set in the SmartThings app. I need to change the switch device that is doing this now but I can’t find out where this is set.
Thank you.
start here → in the ST app… tap on your garage door tile, in the bottom menu of that screen… tap on Routines.
if you don’t find what is controlling it there… just post a followup
Thanks jkp, I’ve checked there and it is not included, it shows routines but the location is not included in those.
you went through all your Routines(Manual and Automatically Run)? look for anything dealing with Presence and/or Location depending on how you set things up.
in the ST app, tap on Menu and select History… set filter for your garage door and see if anything shows that can lead you to the culprit. or scroll through by time if you know the last time it was used.
Have you been to Advanced Web App to have a look there.
which garage door opener … brand/model? if cloud to cloud connected… is it connected to other platforms? does it have its own app? just want to check that you haven’t created something elsewhere.
have you ever used CLI to create Rules?
do you have other platforms connected to ST such as Amazon Alexa or Google Home?
do you use SharpTools and their Rules Engine?
Adding to the list jkp provided for you to check. Do you perhaps have the garage included in any recipes within Smart Lighting?
Thanks for all your suggestions.
I eventually found this in the Smartthings Menu / Android Auto / “Run routine when arriving”.
