Costco is announcing this for sale with a ship date of 5-22-18. It looks interesting and connects with Alexa and Google Home. Does not indicate a Smarthings capability.

Also does not have weather alerts, but that may be a blessing. Can be used for music which in my case is good.

Wondering if anyone knows if this will be able to connect either now or in the future?

The current model without Alexa isn’t compatible with SmartThings, so I doubt the new one would be.
