I’m sure this is a great deal for those interested in a Z-Wave detector. However, it’s lack of hardwire and interconnectivity capabilities makes this a less than desirable choice in my opinion.

My guess (my hope?) is that First Alert is going to add their proprietary RF interconnect protocol to a new model, and so they are clearing out existing stock.

Maybe they’ll even do hardwire… But I have doubts.

I bought a couple of these while back because I needed new CO monitors. The fire alarm capability I just look at as bonus/supplement to my hardwire fire alarms.
