I’ve had nothing but trouble with my Fibaro… it will “lock up” and say there is motion constantly when there isn’t… if I turn off the lights, it will continue to work but the sensor will continually report motion.
Yeah. I dumped them all and returned them. Returned the door contact sensors without even opening them due to the issues. The Iris Zigbee motion sensor is really reliable, even if not as elegant or cool looking. Unfortunately, its range isn’t terribly good for me.
Anybody manage to resolve issues with the Fibaro Motion Sensor? My issue is simply Range. The Sensor works if placed right next to the hub, but if I move it to a room about 5 meters from the SmartThings hub, the hub does not detect the Sensor. Surely 5 meters is not asking too much!?
Nope, I sold mine as I was unhappy with it dropping off the network atleast once a week and I had to do a battery pull to get it to respond again. I ended up getting iris motion sensors and have had nothing but excellent performance out of them.
Not good news, but thanks. Am in UK so not sure I can get hold of or use Iris Motion Sensors. But no doubt there must be Motion Sensors with better range than the Fibaro ones…
