Fibaro Dimmer 2 (212) and Philips Non-Dimmable LED Bulbs

I have some issues a Fibaro Dimmer 2 module in what should be a relatively simple configuration:

  • Dimmer 2 installed at 2 wire switch location
  • Two Philips 13w non-dimmable LED bulbs
  • Using rajiv’s Dimmer 2 code

Currently the lights flicker and Smartthings reports the switch as ‘ON’. If I try and turn it off, it just says “turningoff” until I navigate to a different screen, then it reports ‘ON’ again.

I have tried adding various parameters but so far no difference (i.e. parameter 32 for on/off mode).

Also, I have another 212 module working well for some downlights (again using Rajiv’s code). When I try and copy the device handler so I can just edit one version, it appears to edit the same one for both devices. What am I missing here?

Thanks in advance!

Thanks Robin. I have tried creating a new DH from code but it doesn’t allow me to rename it, so I get multiple copies of the original so I struggle to tell which one I am changing. I also can’t see which one is linked to the device.

From what I’ve read, the Fibaro dimmer requires a load of 25w minimum, my 2 x 13w LEDs gets me over that threshold. The reason I’ve not gone for dimming bulbs is because a) I don’t need dimming, they light up the Porch during the night and b) I’ve not seen any 100w-equivalent bayonet bulbs that support dimming yet.

Starting to wonder if I should have just gone for the Fibaro relay instead?
