Twice in the last few months with the home security armed , I’ve gotten false intrusions detected off our garage sensor… The garage never actually opened though.
One option is to add a second motion sensor and only sound the alarm if both sensors activate.
well, no telling what the actual cause is, without a second channel. I prefer un-integrated cameras. In my older house, particularly in the garage, flies and spiders can trigger motions. Sticky traps can moderate them.
If you are referring to an actual door contact or vibration sensor then wind can false a touchy device install. ST 2nd gen multisensor (coin cell battery) typically has false acceleration reports. I haven’t seen false contact reports that are 100% log-only, but I expect they are possible also.
It’s a contact on the garage door and the control panel.
