Failing to connect Govee Products to Smart Things

Hello, after purchasing

a new Samsung TV with integrated Smart Things Hub (screenshot included to show that the hub is working), I cant seem to connect my Govee Products (Rope Light 2, Strip Light and Floor Lamp) to it. The Govee products all have Matter. They appear in the “nearby devices” Tab, but always fail on the last step (finalizing setup).
The error codes I have gotten meanwhile where 39 - 519 and 39 - 402 (sadly I didnt take a screenshot at that time)

All requirements are met for the products (IPv6 for Wifi)

In the Govee app make sure your device is connected and you have control of your device.
In govee app, device, settings go to matter, a qr code and 11 digit code will be generated, tap on copy. Go to smartthings and add, add device, partner devices, matter, add 11 digit code, follow instructions.

Hello, thanks for your reply, I have gotten so far, after scanning the qr code or adding the 11 digit code into smart things, I get the error codes (the code or qr code are for the correct device) in the smart things app (Error code 39 - 519 or 39 - 402).

I tried resetting the govee devices and the hub

Power cycle the device while you’re adding it. Do that at different moments in the onboarding process.

Yesterday I added a Tapo H110 Matter bridge and I was mentally prepared that it would take 20 tries but it only took about 10.

Thanks for you reply aswell, did that aswell, same results as before, but I will keep trying

If using your phone to connect, are you using the 2.4 GHZ wifi band?

No solution, but anyway: you’re not alone:

How do I check that?
my phone is the Samsung Galaxy S25

Just found it, its at 5 gHz, my Wifi aparently automatically choses 2,4 or 5 ghz and I cant seem to fix it to one of them two. Unless there is a way to force it to one of the two

I ended up setting two bands on my router and then manually switching to the 2.4 GHZ band for pairing. Some routers allow you to combine these as well. But if you can;t do that, then you could the approach I did which has solved many, but not all of my pairing issues.
