Am I going crazy or has the ability to set preferences for an smartapp and/or Device Type via the IDE been removed??? I can not find this option anywhere. 
Do you mean āApp Settingsā screen? Itās still there. You may have to click on the right icon or āApp Settingsā button on the Editor viewā¦
Or do you mean Preferences in the Simulator?
Itās hard, but helpful to be preciseā¦ Heck SmartThings own screens and Docs are sloppy with terminology in too many places.
Think I had this wrong. I found āedit Preferencesā under the āMy Devicesā tab of the IDE. Somehow I believed I could also edit SmartApp preferences values as well.
