Thank you, I hate it when they do that. It was working for reporting, hoping maybe you can get the whole thing to work. I love your DTH versus the stock. Keep up the great work.
Hi I’m new to ST and just bought RBs app
The danalock works great but my Yale Conexis L1 can’t. It’s said this lock fail to complete the network security key exchange. I read the log thread as Yale one touch lock Can anyone help? Thank you very much
That’s a hub pairing error, it’s happens sometimes while pairing if there was a communication error. Bring it closer to the hub within a few feet and try it again. You may need to first exclude your device and then pair it.
Any outlook on when an updated DTH will be available that will be compatible with SmartThings new Smart Locks App?
I recently (4-5 days ago) updated to your latest DTH version for my Kwickset 912. About the same time, I added an IRIS Smartplug to my system to build a stronger Zigbee mesh. But the IRIS Smartplug also includes a Z-Wave Repeater. Up until I made these two changes, my 912 almost never lost connectivity with the ST Hub. Since then it’s lost connectivity to the hub at least daily. BTW, I ran several Z-Wave repairs after the addition of the IRIS repeater.
I’m leaning toward the cause of the 912 issues being the new repeater possibly causing a Z-Wave mesh conflict. To be more precise, I don’t think the 912 is actually going offline completely because it can still be refreshed, it shows some activity on the ST ‘recently’ tab and the “Device Monitor” and “Simple Divsersified Viewer” apps still show it as active too. It just doesn’t accept or react to lock/unlock commands. When this happens, Z-Wave repairs then fail too. Once I take the batteries out of the 912 and put them back in, the lock returns to normal operation.
I’m planning to remove the Z-Wave Repeater as a test, but am interested any insights you might have.
TIA
UPDATE:
I’m currently removing all traces of the IRIS Smart Plug from my system… Maybe the original installation of the IRIS Smart Plug was hinky. We’ll see how the door lock runs without the repeater in play for a few days.
I’ll try again after a few days if things seem to be running OK.
Since you mentioned Kwikset, take a look at some the posts from users who started facing issues with their Kwikset Z-Wave modules about a year or so after normal operations.

for the device handler to register with Smart Locks. For best performance please exclude and re-pair the lock after upgrading the code.
That’d be a bad thing. I’ll see how it goes. Thanks for the heads up.
Short of removing and re-pairing my three Schlage Camelot locks (This is a massive undertaking here to make that happen, 20’ LAN cables multiple extension cords, etc…) is there anything else I can do to kick these things to throw a status at Smart Locks after I update the DTH and SmartApps? I’ve done both and I saw the App resend the entire code suite to all my locks, and I went into all three of my locks and edited the configuration and hit ‘save’ as suggested above. Unfortunately Smart Locks still sees all three as ‘unknown’ Maybe change to the default DTH and change back?
SmartLocks is a little finicky. Options to get it to register with SmartLocks
- Exclude and re pair lock (best)
- Click on the configure button and click Save
- Uninstall and reinstall Smart Lock
- Switch to default Z Wave Lock handler and then switch back
A little while ago - after removing what I thought was my issue (a new IRIS Smart Plug), and then running a successful Z-Wave Repair, within an hour or so, all of my Z-Wave devices began falling off the system. Multiple Z-Wave Repairs showed more and more dropped devices. Based on your message about Kwikset Z-Wave Modules failing after a while, I pulled the batteries out of the Kwikset 912 and reran Z-Wave repair. Other than the 912, everything synced up the first time. It appears that I have one of those bad Kwikset Z-Wave Modules.
Just updated my Device Handler and Smartapp and I get an error in the smart app now that says “Somethings Wrong. We can’t load your screen right now”. Working now, sorry
I’ve updated to every single one of your releases and never had this issue, so not sure what could be causing it? Working now
New ST user and new user of Rboy code work.
I have a Schlage BE469 CAM 716 on order. It will arrive next week. Do I need to pair the lock with the ST Hub before I install RBoys Door Lock code to my ST hub, or can I do it now and get that step out of the way?
Yep, just install it now and forget about it. When you pair the lock it will automatically pick up the device handler. (That is the preferred way to install it, first the device handler followed by pairing lock).
@RBoy I just updated to the newest versions of the DH and SA, and when I open my ST app I no longer have my locks (Yale T1L) as devices. I have two entries, that I cannot delete, titled “Tiles Missing”. I cannot remove them through the app.
What happened?
Yes that an issue with the ST platform, we’ve heard about for many weeks now starting about when the outage happened and seems to affect random devices. Try to kill and restart your ST mobile app or delete the devices from the IDE and re pair them.
Also check that you’ve copied all the code and nothing was left out while copy pasting it.
@RBoy - had to delete from the IDE, exclude and repair and everything worked. Thanks for your quick response!
It seems like there is still something wrong. I installed this DTH and I have three locks.
The Main SHM screen never updates with the correct status for the locks. However, if I click on “Smart Locks” I see the correct status in the Smart Locks screen. These pics should help to explain it. In this case 2 doors are locked and 1 is unlocked.
@RBoy - question: with the updated DH and SA, I no longer have access to the Yale specific functions that I used to have. All I have now is lock/unlock and the battery percentage. No more access to one touch lock, auto lock, etc.
Note that I did also add the SmartThings lock SA, so would that cause a problem like this?
What can I do to get those functions back?
