[edge request] to control old samsung TV HU7500 (power on-off)

I saw this topic where with a drive edge you can add the onkyo amplifier to your devices on Smartthings:

This is what I’ve found for older Samsung models when I’ve looked in the past. Not sure if anyone did a DTH with that connection or what kind of data (if any) you get back from the TV. I don’t know that I’ll pursue it - my newer Samsung TVs are too cheap to have a network connection and when I looked into controlling my older one (2006) years ago I was convinced it was old enough to only have RS232 as an option.

I wondered if this was possible for my old 2014 Samsung HU7500 TV. @ Philh30 gave me this information,

but my knowledge is very limited. I wanted to understand if from here there were the basics to be able to add a drive edge for my TV. I would be content with just being able to turn it on and off and see from Smartthings if it is on or off. Do you think it is possible?
