Doorbell camera with two way Audio

I’ve been researching a Doorbell cam that works with two way Audio in the Smartthings app. Arlo seems to work, but there is no simple way to have local storage and Ring seems to integrate well but it’s not clear which ones work on the ST app with two way Audio.

What are folks using and do you have two way Audio?

Edit, I’m after any doorbell camera that offers free local storage and works with two way Audio in the Smartthings app.

For the free local storage, I went with the Reolink doorbell - it carries an SD card, and it connects to my Synology NAS for another recording in parallel. Both of these I can access remotely, via the respective smartphone apps.

It also does ONVIF with two-way audio, so Alexa and Google Home pick it up. Alexa handles button events and two-way audio neatly.

SmartThings does not support these cameras natively, but there is an ONVIF camera driver right here in the community. That’d certainly be worth a shot.

What about the tapo doorbell? I know tapo works decently with smartthings, but I’ve never tried their doorbell.

Reolink is the superior camera and any camera that supports ONVIF can be made to display live video and it’s POE, but it doesn’t support 2 way Audio.

Does the 2 way Audio work in the Smartthings app?

I did a little more research and you can buy a hub for Arlo that supports free local storage you can access from the Arlo app without a subscription. It also supports two way Audio within the Smartthings app. I’ll update my post when I get it all tested out.

It does with my regular cameras.

I’ll try it out. Thanks, also supports local storage without a hub.

It does support 2-way audio over ONVIF. Originally it didn’t, until a firmware update added it.

I’m using mine - black PoE version - in that way over Alexa.
