I have a smart power outlet that reports power consumption. The messages in the activity log are kind of annoying. Short of copying and modifying the device type, is there any way to quiet these messages?

SmartThings really needs to think of these annoyances in advance and add some trivial options to the Device Type Handler Preferences page – or just be more responsive to upgrade requests; this complaint has been out for months.
