For a Philips Hue bulywhy did you need to define a custom device? Should work with standard Zigbee RGB Bulb

Hi, Because the hue dim-switch is a non supported device. Only the bulbs are for some reason. It would be nice to start an automation pressing a button on the hue dim-switch.

Hi, I’ll think it has something to do with the new app. But as a new SmartThings user I’m not 100% sure that’s the case.

There is an existing DTH for the dimmer that people have been using for a while now, but I don’t know if it works with the new app or not:
