Device don't show up in automation wizard

Hi,
I created a device handler (Philips Hue Dimmer)form code and published to my SmartThings Hub.
I paired the dimmer-switch to my SmartThings successfully and I can place it in a room (status = connected)
If I want to use the dimmer-switch in an automation, the device won’t show up.
who can assist a SmartThings newbie??

I found the solution myself after watching a couple of YouTube video’s .
The new created device has the wrong device type “Samsung TV” instead of “Hue dimmer button”
A video of SmarterHomeLife made my aware of this issue.
Thanks, your support anyway.

For a Philips Hue bulywhy did you need to define a custom device? Should work with standard Zigbee RGB Bulb

Hi,

Because the hue dim-switch is a non supported device. Only the bulbs are for some reason.
It would be nice to start an automation pressing a button on the hue dim-switch.

There is an existing DTH for the dimmer that people have been using for a while now, but I don’t know if it works with the new app or not:

Hi,

I’ll think it has something to do with the new app.
But as a new SmartThings user I’m not 100% sure that’s the case.
