Develop a ZigBee device that talks to the SmartThings Hub directly

I am developing a ZigBee motion sensor with a big vendor. I would like to ensure our ZigBee motion sensor can work with the SmartThings Hub. I wonder if there is any guideline on this topic. Your help is highly appreciated.

I’m interested in the same Topic and doing research, so we can help each other.

What **chipset **are you using for ZigBee (TI Texas Instruments? Silicon Labs?) … what exact chip (e.g. TI-CC2650)?

If you have a valid “ZigBee HA (Home Automation)” profile / stack loaded, then the “join protocol” is likely to work with SmartThings… That’s the starting point, I think.

It will need to use the Zigbee Home Automation 1.2 profile.

You should get in touch with the partnership program for more information:

We are using ZigBee chipsets from NXP. Would be great if we can work together on this topic.

Thanks a lot!

I will Private Message you so we can compare notes and then later share what we learn in the forum.

The TI-CC2650 is quite a powerhouse SOC; but I only have Bluetooth working so far. Can’t quite get Z-Stack with ZigBee HA Profile samples loaded into the firmware, but I probably just have a PC / build / toolchain / environment configuration problem to track down.

I already signed up as Partners. Thanks for the info.
