For what i am using it for, it is sufficient. I have not had any issues, and it did solve a polling problem for me that was killing my batteries.

Did you mean this version, or the beta version when you say “it is sufficient.” ? Sounds like you’re saying that the beta version solved your polling problem, correct?

I am using an older smartthings V1 hub with a new Schlage Camelot Lock and I am having trouble getting it to properly connect and report current status. I have tried resetting the Schlage to default and removing it from smartthings and then re-adding it to the hub. It can lock and unlock the lock but status is always reported as unknown. Is this an issue because it is a v1 hub or what am I missing.

Thanks for any advise.

I’m doing something wrong. trying to add a second user, but under user setting it says WARNING: this user has been disabled. Reason: Code Conflict Detected. Any suggestion?

  • Views for lock info to see what all the codes are in each slots.
  • Overwrite mode option (ON by default) which removes codes that aren’t set by this app.
    (I believe this will be very helpful to most people) REMEMBER TO DELETE any apps that also alter codes before using this app with this option enabled. You have been warned.

  • Improve lock info pages and user views.
  • stretch goal: Remove need for custom DTH for code reports.

If there are reasons that are holding you back from ditching the old app for this one, let me know so that I can prioritize what I work on in the future.

Hey Erik, great work! The big feature that I would need to switch to the new SmartApp would be full keypad integration. I’m currently using a custom version of your original version which extends keypad support to add keypad chime support.

Thanks! I don’t have a keypad to test out if I were to add this. Maybe another person could do a PR and add the feature after it goes to V1? I might buy a keypad though. Which one do you use?

I use the Xfinity keypad but the Lowe’s iris keypad is basically the same thing (both made by centralite). I think the Lowe’s one is currently on sale too…

I tried that, they would not let me order for the discount from a remote store and pick up local. How’d you do it?

Hi ethayer, thank you so much for your work with this app. Smartthings support referred me to you. We are looking at using your app as a way to remotely change the code on our Kwikset Smartcode 909 lockset, while also using the Smartthings hub. Can you verify if this is possible with your app?

You sure can! Please consider using the new app for this. It is a lot more user friendly. Even though it’s in “Beta” I believe it is better for new users.

They seem to be doing an IP look up to set the discount value. I’m getting 15% - 60% depending on where I VPN into.

If you VPN into an area which has a larger discount, you can order at that price.

And pick it up at a different store? E.g., get the price at a store 2 hours away, but pick it up at a local store?

Yea, I think it’s only based on IP address, so you could add it to your cart at that price and then choose whatever pickup store you’d like.

At home, the discount is 60%. We have 2 networks at my workplace. One network yields a 40% discount and the other one shows a 15% discount.

If you have a VPN service you could probably bounce around and find where the 60% discount works for you then pickup at your local store.

It’s bad form to implement the discount in the way that they did IMO. If they want to target a store for a discount, they should have made you select your store before showing prices, or just set their discounts evenly through out their stores… though I get how a store in NYC couldn’t have the same prices as say… my home town.

EDIT: This may be against their TOS? A customer service rep should just give you the 60% discount if you make a small fuss. Best Buy got in a bit of trouble when customers discovered their besybuy.com intranet site was displaying store-based prices while their bestbuy.com internet site displayed internet prices (they would price match) and customers who saw an item at $20 online would be surprised to see the same item at $25 in store… then on the intranet site, they would see it was $25 “online” when they went to price-match.

I am having the same/similar issue. Any help would be appreciated. I have all slots enabled (30). When I slide the enabled? setting to on (enabled), that setting disappears after I press Done. I am able to set up codes, but not enable them. This happens on both my iPhone and iPad. I am using the latest version 4.1.5. I have a Smartthings 1.0 hub and a Kwikset zwave lock. I have been using this app for quite a while without this problem happening. I have tried to stay current with the updates to the smartapp and the device type. I haven’t been setting up or charging codes much recently, but noticed the problem. Does anyone have any ideas to help solve my issue? Thanks.
