How do I remove the Blink smartapp from SmartThings? When I try to open it to remove, I just get a spinning circle for a few seconds and then nothing happens. I can delete the code from the IDE, but will that remove the installed instance in SmartThings?
Actually, I just tried deleting it in the IDE and I get an error page that says access denied?!?
You need to remove any automations from the devices, then remove all the devices themselves and then you can remove the SmartApp
Hi All,
Posting this here, because I think for all of us who are not happy with Blink cutting all of us off from their API.
Please go and take their customer survey.

90 mil? Iād sell out too!
Niceā¦
Less than 20 char.
Backed you up there buddy. A little tasteless from Nick, ākiddingā or not. (Iām Gozadaman there). They know what we want, so give it us or give us a damn good reason why not instead of āweāre not at liberty to say at this timeā.
Hereās hoping they get the Memo!
Did that, removed all the cameras including any automation. However, the blink camera manager still will not open. I get a spinning wheel, then nothing. So I canāt actally go into the app to remove it.
Enter a support ticket and they will help you to remove it. FYI. Remove the cameras themselves.
Got it, had to go to My Location, then installed smartapps and delete it from there.
I had the same issues. It required ST staff removing them for me.
I posted a response, which Iām sure will be removed.
"Letās be honest Nick - the way you guys handled shutting down the ST integration was absolutely terrible. I havenāt ever seen an explanation, an apology, or anything along those lines from Blink. You owe many of your sales to SmartThings users and Iām still shocked that a company can handle a situation as poorly as Blink handled ST.
My feedback is: youād sell more cameras by opening up and integrating with other systems, but you guys obviously donāt want to do that for whatever reason and instead, rely on a horrible IFTTT implementation to āintegrateā with others."
Has Rboy or anyone else contacted Amazon about possibly reinstating this? Seeing blink has left i would think we need to contact the new owner and see if we can persuade them.
I would think that @RBoy has already tried or is trying. As we all knowā¦Amazon is a Beast and takes a long time to get their S#! together.
They shut down the integration and then like 24 hours later they announced the acquisition by amazon. I think itās a safe bet that amazon had something to do with that decision.
This.
Amazon has proved time and time again, they donāt play well with others. Iām surprised after they released the Echo 2 with the extra radios in, they didnāt immediately ban all sales of home automation/smart home stuff. Iām sure they will at some point.
