CT100 with no common, constant polling, battery loss

Guys, do you think that this will help power my thermostat. I don’t have the C wire running for heat on the two CT100’s and as a result within a few weeks the battery is draining like crazy. It functions really well otherwise.

Going through the CT manual and other thermostats including NEST, Honeywell and Ecobee, several guys have been using this external 24V AC transformer with one wire connected to C and one in addition with the second wire to Rh (so, two wires on Rh). Do you think if there is any risk involved in having two wires connected to Rh?. Any thoughts will be highly appreciated.

Lucky to have a C wire on my Ecobee3 (AC only) though.

Should be fine.

Hooked up one of these puppies a couple of weeks ago to my ct100. Works like a charm
