How much distance has everyone used with a wired reed switch on the monoprice contact sensor? If there was say, 100ft of wire, would that still be ok, since the contact switch is just looking for the conductive path?
I have a setup on my mailbox that is about 80 feet of wire between the micro switch in the mail box with no issues.

I run mine normally closed so that when it is changed to open it detects the open circuit.
