Connect a temperature&humidity sensor (smartlife)

Hi everyone,

I’ve been trying to connect my temperature and humidity sensor (ASOFTY WiFi indoor room thermometer - which I normally use with the Smart Life app) to SmartThings. The device pairs successfully, but every time I try to read the sensor data in SmartThings, I get the following message:

“This device has not yet updated all of its status information.”

Has anyone encountered this before or found a solution?

Thanks in advance! Best regards

How are you connecting this device to SmartThings?

Are you using the official Smart Life cloud to cloud (c2c) integration?

Hi, i connect the sensor via the normal way (with the smartlife app)

That is the official Smart Life cloud to cloud (c2c) integration.

You can refreshing the device page by pulling down on the device page. You could also try refreshing the Smart Life integration. Go to menu, gear in top right, linked services, SmartLife and refresh at bottom left. You could also try unlinking and re-adding the SmartLife integration, but that will mess up your automations.

There is nothing else you can change on the SmartThings side. Tuya/Smart Life owns the integration so you need to take it up with them if it still doesn’t work.

Ok thank you, unfortunately it doesn‘t work.
It looks like smarthings does not recognize the device as a temperature sensor

I don’t know if this is the case, but recently several “TUYA” devices were discovered by TUYA itself that use counterfeit or unlicensed chips and will stop working soon, they are WHITE LABEL brands.
