Compatable ciling lights

Can anybody help looking to replace my kitchen lights not gu10 but a ciling light

A few questions first.

  1. what country are you in? The device selection does vary.

  2. do you have a smartthings/Aeotec hub, and if so, which model?

  3. what voltage?

  4. are you just looking for on/off? Dimmable? Color changing? Color temperature changing (cool white to warm white)?

  5. if this is a fitting, what size?

  6. how bright does it need to be (preferably expressed in lumens)?

  7. you said “kitchen lights”: what’s the total current load controlled from one switch?

  8. have you considered replacing the switch instead of the lamps? That often gives you more choices. And there are some in wall modules you can use which are not visible so they don’t change the look of your existing fittings or switches.

  9. there is a new industry standard, matter, which is just starting to be rolled out. Do you care if your lights are compatible with matter or not? Or is just working with the Samsung SmartThings ™ home automation platform enough?
