Cree connected are zigbee bulbs, and look very much like any other lightbulb.
The Aeon bulbs are zwave bulbs and are very noticeably bigger than a typical lightbulb although they are the same shape. So if you just look at a picture of the bulb itself before you order it you won’t be able to tell, but it will not fit in many fixtures.

Aeon bulbs are still a good choice for many people but if you like the Cree you may find the Aeon are very different device aesthetically.
