I saw a very complex way to do this but all I want to do is set my osram lights to change color by time. Os this easily possible?
Or tie it to a music source to have the colors change with the beat (thst would be awesome).

If you install C.O.R.E you can set it to change colors, There are also a few apps that will rotate through a series of colors
I actually just did something like this for myself, but w/ a smartapp. I’m using it for flexstrips, but should work w/ gardenspots as well as other rgbw devices. Its has preconfigured holidays, with colors (and easy enough to add/change your own), and is designed to pick the closet holiday (w/ some options). Yes I’m that lazy.
still playing with it though.
Here is version 3.0 of my new smartapp: Garden Hue.
I could not find a smartapp that would change the color every so often sunset to sunrise…
So far I have it cycle through about 16 colors, only turns on sunset to sunrise (with an optional offset) and will change color only between these times, OR if you manually turn one or more of the hue lights controlled on.
I have set cycle times of 10 , 15, 30 minutes, 1 hour and 3 hours. so I can use the built in functions of runeveryxxminutes etc. so as not to overload the backend running on fixed times. (check the docs these randomize the time).
I also have a disable/enable option.
There is is also an option for a random one of the 16 colors instead of cycling through them.
I am using the scheduling/cron feature to do this and also schedule …
If you want them to dance to music, you might have better luck with Hue. There are several apps for Hue that have a party mode using your phone’s microphone

Thanks. These are easier than Core.
