Interesting. Too bad. I am sure the community will eventually build an integration, but I know that Health Mate (Nokia’s App that controls Nokia’s Sleep solution) doesn’t currently integrate into ST.
I use Health Mate to connect to my Withlings/ Nokia WS50 smart scale, but haven’t used IFTT to trigger things based on my weight results…
An immutable law of physics is that if you hang around CES long enough, you will eventually run into Will.i.am. The tech-obsessed musician, who made the worst product Dan Seifert touched in 2014, once appeared at CES as a keynote speaker, and another time he manifested himself into a telepresence robot to attend the unveiling of a luxury 3D printer. Spend enough time here, and he might just acquire you, too.
Not to sidebar the topic, but my question is how many of you have gone down the HUE path, opposed to leveraging switches, with controllable light bulbs like OSRAM Lightify, in areas you want color?
I have this set up over Hue, because my wife and kids turn off the switches all the time, which makes the Hue useless.
Now, more on topic, have you heard anything from any players who are doing Zigbee specific lights. It seems the industry is shifting to Wifi controlled lights.
Ya thats called the Entertainment area that I mentioned above that was updated on the app the day before which right now has just a single partner “Razer”.
The screenshot I posted from my phone references “discover more on the 11th” (tommorow) so I didn’t know if something more was heard through the grapevine.
Hope that’s not the news that is being referenced in my screenshot above for what will be revealed tomorrow as this new feature was added a couple of days ago to Hue.
Maybe they will be introducing more partners that this will work with besides Razer.
Or perhaps the announcement on the 11th will be that the Razer Synapse 3 Beta will be made available which I just signed up for. Not interested in the gaming side (Chroma) of it.
I can’t find it anywhere but the z-wave alliance twitter, but Zooz has their “Smarter switch” on display at the @TheSmartestHouse area at CES. Its’s basically the swiss army knife of switches:
Dimmer switch
z-wave plus with S2 security
works with dumb X-way switches
Motion Detector
Light sensor
range testing tool
scene control
updateable
Curious to see the price point! Their existing switches are pretty affordable, especially when you consider a 3-way circuit.
