Centurylink home security devices HELP

I’m hoping someone can help me. I previously had Centurylink home security I cancelled their service because it was just terrible. Well, I got to keep the cameras, door lock, smoke detector, thermostat, lamp switches and motion detector. I thought it would be easy to set these items up with the smartthings hub. Alas it has not. I didn’t know that they needed to be removed from the old network first. I no long have access to that system and do not know how to reset these devices or if they will actually work with smartthings. Normally I don’t have problems with computers and wifi but this is beyond my expertise. Can someone please help me. Will these devices work with smartthings? If so, how do I reset them? If you need more information just let me know.

If you post some model numbers we’ll be able to tell you exactly what will and won’t work with SmartThings. I’m not too familiar with the CenturyLink systems, but if any of the devices use Z-Wave there’s a good chance you can port them over to SmartThings.

Here’s a general article on performing the Z-Wave Exclusion steps:

You won’t need your old system, all of these steps can be performed from the SmartThings Mobile App.

Tyler,

Thank you for responding. I looked at the link you provided but I still don’t know what to do. I’m not sure what I need to do on each device to “exclude” them. Here’s what I have…

Wireless camera - Model No: ICamera-1000 the quick installation sheet says C24-CAM54IR
Lamp Module (Z-wave Certified) - Jasco 45602WB
ZW3101
Thermostat - RCS Technology battery powered z-wave thermostat Model TBZ48
Door Lock - Yale Real Living Model(s): YRD210-ZW, YRD210-ZB
Smoke Detector - WS4916 Series Wireless Smoke Detector

The door and window sensors I have no information on and the same with the motion detector. But I’m not really worried about those. I’d just like to get these other things working!

Thank you for any help you can provide!

You’ll have to look up the “Exclusion” steps for each device. We have a lot of information available on our KB at https://support.smartthings.com/hc/en-us.

The wireless camera is not supported, nor is the smoke detector.

:stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes: We also terminated our CenturyLink monitoring (still stuck with their INTERNET and phone service but planning to switch them too) after our control center no longer communicated with them (we still got email alerts but they said they received nothing and wanted to charge us a huge fee to have a service call)! (Hoped we could still use https://bbsecurity.centurylink.com/myhome/9.0.0-655/access/signin.jsp?e=ns&partner=clink but it is no longer functioning!):triumph:
We also have the lamp modules, yale door lock, motion sensor, door sensors and it would be useful to be able to monitor and control them as you!:grinning:
