…before pinging support, was curious if this was a known issue or a “just me” sort of thing. When I’m in the app (Android), then select a Thing–in this case, a GE In-Wall Dimmer switch, it shows an “outlet” icon. I click Menu > Edit Device, then Update Icon. I can select a new icon, then click Done, the updated icon shows. I click Done again, and it’s back to the previous view–just an outlet.
I’m seeing this for both GE Wall switches I have, and two GE plug-in modules. It DOES work for the CREE Connected bulbs I have (I can change the icon just fine), so…GE thing, app thing, or just me?
