Looks like we’re hitting (yet another) bug in iOS 8:

There seems to be a workaround, which requires us to recompile our javascript. We’ll do that today, run tests, etc., and then we’ll be releasing a new version of Discourse.
iOS 8 has many bugs in Safari… Stay on iOS 7 if you can.

The workaround is deployed. Please reload on iPhone and try it. Works for me on iPhone 5S, iOS 8.1.1.
