Have you gotten yours to work with SMH? Mine never seems to be available to record when the alarm is triggered.

I’m always finding things laying around the house. I found a philips bulb the other day, last night I found GE switch and 2 outlets. This morning I finally found an Iris module I’d been looking for. It was plugged in, I just couldn’t remember which one it was and where it was. I’m getting the Christmas decorations out this weekend… I know there are some things in the boxes…
Oh, and I’ve got around 170 physical devices connected… and then there’s the box sitting behind me… oh my!
I’ve got things that I don’t even know why I have them… I just bought them cause they were a good deal and I figured I find a use later!
It’s always on so I am not sure. I don’t think that I have ever had any issues but I really don’t have any rules tied to it in ST outside of notify me of any motion…
You inspired me to go into the “Box” which was actually 3 different boxes and do an inventory…WTF am I doing with all of this crap that I have absolutely no use for!
Literally this stuff is just sitting in the “Box” waiting on me to dream up something to do with it.
You can use the Fabriqs to group them into a multi-speaker notification device… work great with kids. They listen much better to a powerful voice from everywhere!
Ironically, I didn’t know that they could do TTS when I purchased them. I have 3 other tablets dedicated for TTS duties that work great.
My family, well the kids, HATE the laundry nagger and the one that goes: If you don’t take the dogs out in the next 10 minutes, I am going to shut this party down! Of course this sound much better with " . " in between the words and in the cool TTS voice. LMAO! Lights blink and everything. Man o Man, laundry has never been finished so fast.
Seriously, what is wrong with you two? How is it possible to have devices just laying around?? I’m usually tearing into the packaging before I get back from the store, or as I’m walking in the house after the UPS guy leaves. Then again, 331 devices later it’s probably me.

Cause I’ll buy something just cause it’s on sale.
I bought an entire Netatmo Weather Station a few days ago… Base Station, Rain Gauge, Wind Gauge, 2 mounts, and 3 extra inside modules…
simply cause it was 20% off and they extended the warranty from 1 to 2 years.
I really don’t need… Ok, I don’t need it at all… but it was 20% off and they extended the warranty…
Ok, that just reminded me that I do have a “box” somewhere with 3 Utilitech leak sensors I purchased for $6.12 last year from Lowes and never used. Thank you for that, now I have another project this weekend.

lol… I’ve been trying for weeks to get my Lyric Water/Freeze sensors set up… I have 8… I’ve only set up 3.
I probably could have used one the other night when the 7 year old had the shower pointing at the floor upstairs.
I took out the P-touch last year when I took down the decorations and put labels on all the switches I used. So last weekend I knew exactly where they went and what they were named in ST.
Well you can use those 2 outdoor modules for holiday lights. The Fabriqs work great in the bedrooms for places you don’t need/want a full size speaker for announcements. If you figure out what to do with the FireTv, let me know, I hace 2 of the new 4K boxes I can;t figure out what to do with. I " Donated" an extra GH, 2 GH-Mini, Canary, Netatmo Welcome, Netatmo weather, Nest Protect all NIB to my daughter to give away as prizes for a Christmas promo she’s running. I told her I could throw in an ST hub and Hue Bridge with a few LED strips if she wanted them too.
At this point I’m replacing ZW with ZW+ and still have boxes of ZW I never opened
Curious why? Are they more reliable? I know the range is better but my Zwave mesh is strong given the number of devices I have installed. I bought out many many Lowes of the GE old style clamshell packed switches a few years ago and that’s what I have installed around the house. And I just cleared out several Walmart’s of their clearance switches too. Like @bamarayne I am compulsive to buy HA products when they are on sale.
I have an occasional switch fall off the network but the replace process or switching off the power for a short period usually clears it up.
I was about to say the same thing then I started thinking about it and I have at least 3 GE switches, a multi sensor, a leak sensor, a motion sensor, a ESP32 (ST_Anything), and some misc pieces/parts sitting on my work bench in the basement waiting to be installed. For months.
I’m taking off work between Christmas and new years with the goal of getting everything installed, getting my ESP32 running ST_Anything doing RGB LED strip control running above my kitchen cabinets, and also finally installing those USB charger outlets I bought from BestBuy on sale for $10 each installed throughout the house.
With the above said all you people with all these devices you aren’t/don’t want to use should make a new post for trading. I know there is the sale one but there never seems to be much activity or interest. But I’d totally buy some non-plus Z-Wave switches or trade for them to do the rest of mine. Theres a couple things in @rontalley box I’d happily take off his hands also.
You answered your own question. The ZW+ have been on sale.
I’m still fighting the ZW meltdown of FW 16 that effected almost every one of my GE switches. Leviton switches and GE dimmers are all fine, but almost every on/off switch beit in wall or wall wart has been completely unreliable. Of course it has nothing to do with ST. Every switch just decided to die at the same time. It’s completely coincidentally the same time as ST pushed the FW updating ZW. They all work fine with Alexa, GH, and automations, but won’t respond to app prompts. It’s not the apps problem though. It’s because I have too many devices.
