I just got a Aqara door/window sensor and wondered if I need to install a driver in my Gen2 SmartThings hub do optimize it’s performance?
What specific model do you have?
The box says Model: MCCGQ11LM.
I don’t know if this thing goes into a super low power mode (i.e. Off), but half the time SmartThings on my phone reports it as Offline, but even then when I open the door the routine always turns on the light.
No biggie, but SmartThings doesn’t report as Open or Closed, it reports On and Off.
Hi @TAC
You can use driver zigbee contact Mc
install it in your hub from my Channel
Uninstall device and add it with this driver
This device uses cluster onOff, 0006, and is pairing with zigbee switch stock driver as generic switch
@Mariano_Colmenarejo thanks it worked perfectly! Now it even reports Open and Closed! Also, so far I haven’t seen it reported as offline. Per the attached I’m still waiting for the battery % to be updated.
What do you think of the signal strength?
I also have a AEON LABS 4 button remote (model: DSA03202-ZWUS 908.42MHz), what driver do you suggest I use for it?
Thanks again,
-TAC
Hi @TAC
First Battery % event can delayed some hours
The signal strength is good
Pair it with my Zwave Thing Mc driver to see the fingerprints and command class and post a screenshot
@Mariano_Colmenarejo I’m not sure if this is what you were looking for.
This doesn’t work either, I get pretty random results when I push any of the buttons.
Since you are here, I figure I might as well pile on!
What should I use for Aeotec TriSensor model: ZWA005A?
Thanks again,
-TAC
@Mariano_Colmenarejo Are the drivers from your channel drivers that you have written? I assume they would be similar to those listed here:
Hi,
This device must work fine with smartthing zwave button.
If does not work then open a report in smartthing. It is a certified driver
Yes, they are drivers written by me or modified by me from the stock driver.
The github link that you publish has nothing to do with my drivers, also they are dth’s groovy not lua drivers
If does not work with driver stock zwave sensor then can try with my driver Zwave Sensor and Child Thermostat Mc
Aeotec provides a vendor developed Edge driver for this device. You can find info here.
@h0ckeysk8er How long does it usually take for a driver to show up on my phone after installing? @Mariano_Colmenarejo divers showed up instantly, but this Aeotec TriSensor driver seems to be taking a while.

For me, they generally show up right after I install them. Check the AWA to see if it is installed on your hub.
Hummm…
This is from you the link you sent.
Selecting the AeotecTriSensor | Driver | Select different driver, these are the only selections
Can you try changing the driver from the AWA please?
@h0ckeysk8er is this where the Aeotec TriSensor driver should show up?
Hmm, I notice that the first 5 digits of the Manufacturer code are zeros. Is the whole code zeros? If so, that would explain why the driver is not showing up because there is not a valid fingerprint to match that driver. It also means the device did not pair correctly with your hub. One reason that happens is that the device supports S2 security, but it wasn’t set up correctly.
If my observation is correct, I would exclude the sensor from the hub, factory reset the sensor, and then re-pair it with the hub. Once you do that, check to see if it has a valid fingerprint.
@h0ckeysk8er Factory reset seems to have done the job, driver is now Aeotec TriSensor and my phone is showing good data!
Thanks for all your help Bruce!
