Automatically Turning Off Aeotec Siren?

Is there any way to automatically turn off the siren/strobe after it has been turned on by a routine?

I have two devices, a motion detector and a siren (both Aeotec). The motion detector’s routine of turning on the siren’s alarm works great. But it appears that the only way of turning off the alarm is to do so manually through the app. Am I missing something? I tried creating a second routine associated with the siren’s device to check if the siren’s alarm type is set to “siren and strobe” for more than two minutes, and if so, then set the alarm type to “off”. But this does not seem to work.

Any suggestions?

Thank you in advance for any help.

Like you I use a routine along the same lines:

Works fairly well for me although the 1 second is usually nearer 2 or 3…

Awesome!

Thank you for confirming that I am on the right track.

I don’t believe this approach works for the Aeotec Siren 6, but I will dig into this further and report back to this thread.

Sincerely,

Dan

I also have an Aeotec Siren 6 that works fine with a similar routine:

Both are running on v2 hub with the stock Z-Wave Siren driver.

Thank you for the reply and pushing me to resolve the problem rather than dismissing it outright as a problem. It took a bit more familiarity with the siren’s controls and settings interface to realize that it was a user error on my part.
