August WiFi Locks now integrate with ST without Z-wave (January 2020)

My power has been out for 4 hours now. The two items left working are my two August locks through HomeKit :slight_smile:

I’m a little confused by the keyoad discussion. I just tried the following with my August Keypad, August Pro and August connect setup while watching in the SmartTHigns app and all statuses updated correctly:

  1. open ST app to August lock device screen
  2. open door, walk out, close door
  3. lock from the ST app
  4. unlock from August keypad
  5. open door, walk in, close door
  6. lock manually
  7. unlock manually

Almost sounds like they may be confused with the z-wave connection that does not have those capabilities. Note : I said almost

Check your smartthings activity to see if steps 4-5 are there.

I have this plus the keypad

That includes zwave, different product. Maybe that is fine. Were you looking at the device connected via zwave or their new cloud integtation?

I removed the z-wave integration last week and now only use the cloud integration.

Sounds like the bug can be product specific.
