Arlo Essential Indoor Camera won't record with SmartThings

Good afternoon!
According to the “Partners” SmartThings webpages, Arlo Essential is supported by SmartThings:

However, I have one issue with my two Arlo Essential Indoor Cameras (VMC2040 model): When I create ST Routines to trigger recording with them (when motion is detected), the cameras don’t record.
In contrast, I also have three Arlo Pro cameras connected to the Arlo hub (VMS4330 model), and everything works perfectly: The ST Routines I set up work perfectly, and the cameras record when motion is detected.
Can you help me understand if I may set up my Arlo Essential Indoor Cameras so that the routines record a clip when movement is detected? Or is this not possible with the Essential Indoor?

Firmware is already updated, so maybe the Essential Indoor cameras just don’t work with SmartThings.

They might not have the capabilities, just like the Tapo cameras.

This is the Aeotec Cam 360:

Pretty much the reference implementation.

And this is the Tapo C225:

Can’t even turn the camera on/off.

It seems that I have to replace my Arlo Essential Indoor cameras with Arlo Pro cameras if I want to have the feature of event recording working.
I think that’s what I will do.
