Are the new Aqara Leak sensor models compatible?

I have a dozen Aqara leak sensors and need a few more.

I noticed that there are now two models being sold. One looks like my existing sensors:

And the other looks like a newer model:

Looks like both are being sold by the same vendors on AliExpress:

The new one notes the model as SJWS01LM, but the old model page doesn’t list one. One of my old sensors says SJCQ11LM on the underside. Not sure if these correlate with the “lumi” model reported via zigbee in the IDE.

Does anyone have experience with the newer model? Are they still semi-compatible with ST and supported by bspranger’s DTH?

Hopefully just a new shell and the same electronics inside.

Thanks.

Which Smartthings device handler are you using for the SJCQ11LM?

That is not an Aqara sensor. It’s a Xioami Mi (Or Mijia) sensor. That’s why the logo is different.

It’s a Bluetooth device, not zigbee, and will not work with smartthings.

Same parent company, but different model lines.

Oh man, I cannot believe I missed that detail. Good thing I ended up getting more of the “old” sensors.

No worries. When you have a product description in a mix of three languages, it’s easy to miss something.

In this case, I just recognized the logo right away, so I knew what to look for.
