I don’t know if you are specifically asking about the R2 (white) which has not had a very good review, or the original black model, which I have.
It’s functions well as RF bridge although the devices paired to it are visible, but not operable in Smartthings, at least I have never been able to control them. Its scenes in eWelink are visible in Alexa which is where I am able to control, together with ST.

If you are able to flash with Tasmota firmware, then this would work.
